Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: At heights. Noisy. Dusty. Outdoors. Tasks: Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel. Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings. Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings. Repair roofing systems. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools. Install sheet metal flashings. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Area of specialization: Shingled roofs. Tiled roofs. Skylights. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks.
