Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury. Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards. Ensure adherence to safety regulations. Supervision: No supervision responsibility. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Working at heights training. Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Rooftop Safety Training. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Scaffolding Certification. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Specialization or experience: Sheeting and cladding. Copper or metal roofs. Area of specialization: Single ply sheet membrane roofing system. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Handling heavy loads. Overtime required. Repetitive tasks. Work under pressure. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
