Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Remote location. Various locations. Tasks: Professionalism in customer service. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Documentation knowledge: Bill of lading. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Type of trucking and equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles). Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Regional. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Flexibility. Organized. Hardworking.
