Responsibilities
Tasks

Select mineral treatment machinery and equipment
-
Determine the appropriate means of safely and efficiently mining deposits

Design shafts, ventilation and haulage systems
-
Prepare operations and project estimates, schedules and reports
-
Implement and co-ordinate mine safety programs
-
Report any malfunctions to supervisor

Prepare proposals
-
Establish and maintain contact with suppliers
-
Develop risk management plans
-
Determine layout and installation procedures
-
Prepare reports and audit findings
-
Conduct site visits to gather relevant information

Develop and conduct design verification simulations and prototype bench tests of components
