Employment Terms: Full-Time, Permanent<p>Start date: September 2024<p>The Audiovisual Technician will provide audiovisual support in performance and event spaces and to work with the Help Desk to support classroom technology. This role manages the college's AV technical landscape, including projectors, sound and lighting control boards, live streaming technology and end-user training. <p>Key Responsibilities and Tasks<p>Event Support <p> Proactively ensure adequate technical support is in place for all required events; <p> Requires flexibility in working hours to provide AV support for events both during and outside of the College's regular working hours. This would include early morning and evening events; <p> In collaboration with the Associate Director of Information and Innovation, manage an AV booking calendar and work with services booking teams to ensure a manageable schedule and accommodate equitable and adequate support; <p> Comfortable working in large events spaces including dedicated theatre spaces, auditoriums and general meeting areas; <p> Support for the AV components of assemblies at both the Prep and Upper School. <p> Liaise with relevant departments and individuals to ensure support is anticipated and provided and work to support audiovisual needs; <p> Familiarity with live streaming technology and the ability to support complex hybrid events <p> Supervise and oversee AV-related student clubs.<p>Equipment Maintenance & Inventory <p> On-demand support for all AV equipment; <p> Maintenance of AV equipment including routine checks, annual maintenance and evergreening; <p> Play a role in recommending future AV solutions for the College; <p> Be an active member of the Help Desk Team and respond to AV Help Desk Tickets; <p> Maintain an inventory of all A/V equipment and materials held and used; <p> Comfort with digital signage technologies;<p>Training and Documentation <p> Creates documentation and delivers training to faculty, staff and students on AV equipment; <p> Take responsibility for all technical areas within the school theatres and event spaces; <p> Support key staff and students and provide training on equipment and processes as required. Ensure crew have adequate knowledge of productions, theatre use and equipment for all events.<p>Job Requirements<p>Experience, Knowledge and Competencies: <p> Excellent working knowledge of AV systems including projector configuration, maintenance and monitoring; <p> Up-to-date knowledge of sound and lighting, control systems and maintenance; <p> Experience in an AV support role for environments including classrooms, large event spaces and theatre spaces; <p> Working with students in a supervisory role; <p> Experience in developing and delivering AV related training and documentation; <p> Confident in working independently but also willing to collaborate across many departments; <p> Completion of a post-secondary program in a relevant subject matter, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience; <p> Strong interest in, or proven experience of a similar role in theatre productions; <p> Experience in ETC Lighting Control Systems including Element and ION consoles; <p> Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and some weekends; <p> Ability to identify problem trends and broader issues, and research and recommend solutions; <p> Ability to identify and assess emerging trends and technologies, and determine their applicability to the College; <p> Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate clearly and consistently with all theatre a
