Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Hot. Dusty. Extremely cold. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation . Operate heavy equipment. Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Use International Organization for Standardization (ISO) pattern joystick controls. Use Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) controls pattern. Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks. Operate computer controlled equipment. Complete onboard and other logs. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Secure special attachments to equipment. Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment. Type of heavy equipment operated: Backhoe excavator, loader. John Deere controls. Bulldozer, large or small. Loader. Bobcats. Equipment and machinery experience: Skidsteer. Area of work experience: Backfilling. Ditching. Excavation. Fine grading and finishing. Land clearing. Landscaping. Material handling. Rough grading. Slope grooming. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Safety glasses/goggles.
