Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Attend to gas escape calls. Install gas heating units and their components. Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment. Service gas heating units and their components. Install and maintain meters and regulators and gas lines between gas unit and gas meter. Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment. Advise clients regarding standards, safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems. Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices. Estimate costs and materials. Install and service propane and natural gas filling stations. Test and replace defective equipment or components. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 3 or C. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Judgement. Positive attitude. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.- LocationMaple, ON
