Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Children's program. Tasks: Help students individually or in small groups with assignments and reinforce learning and retention concepts under the supervision of classroom teacher. Supervise students during school and extracurricular activities. Assist students with integration into the classroom and school setting. Tend to emotional well-being of children. Assess social developments. Work experience with special needs students: Emotionally disturbed. Assistance with communication. Children with an intellectual disability. Experience with special needs children: Autistic children. Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or attention deficit disorder (ADD). Children with behavioural issues.
