Syos:ys letse thale, letsemot one heart, one mind, working together for a common purpose. <p>About the Position <p>The Chilliwack School District is seeking applications for the excluded position of Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). Reporting to the District Principal, Student Services, the successful applicant will be responsible for applying principles of behavioural psychology to support students in overcoming social, emotional and behavioural challenges that represent barriers to their academic success and sense of belonging at school. The BCBA will join the ACCESS Student Services team, to provide district and school level support for students with complex learning needs and difficulty self-regulating physically aggressive behaviour. The BCBA will conduct functional behaviour assessments, support the design and implementation of behaviour support plans, and assist with site-specific safety training for school personnel. The BCBA is a member of the dynamic team providing support and guidance within the Chilliwack School District. Core Responsibilities assists with the development, monitoring, and implementation of Individual Behaviour Support plans for students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs<p> provides consultation to school personnel in developing and implementing effective interventions for students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs<p> provides consultation to school personnel in developing and implementing effective interventions for students with behaviour challenges<p> advocates for community support services as appropriate<p> collaborates with classroom teachers, community partners and parents/guardians to support students social, emotional, and behavioural needs<p> consults and collaborates with Child Youth Care Workers (CYCW), Education Assistants (EA)<p> assists in the development, monitoring, and implementation of Employee Safety Plans where appropriate<p> provides educational leadership in areas of individual expertise<p> provides training and in-service to school and district staff (e.g. paraprofessionals, teachers, and principals/vice principals, etc.)<p> participation at district committees<p> demonstrates strong organizational skills<p> willingness to be involved in professional development with an ongoing commitment to learn and implement new methodologies and strategies.<p> demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to support student success <p>Salary Range <p>Based on the positions Salary Grid and the candidates previous experience, the starting range for (100%) full-time Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst is expected to be between $59,711 to $109,520.<p>Qualifications <p>Preference will be given to applicants who possess: a Masters degree in Inclusive or Special Education/Social Work/Psychology/Behaviour Analysis or equivalent (ie Counselling Psychology)<p> three to five years experience in as a BCBA<p> train
