*What will you be doing as the Graphic Designer?*
The Graphic Designer will work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager day-to-day and report into the Marketing Director. The position is responsible for the online presence and promotion of Pride Toronto?s events and operations.
*Responsibilities include:*
- Design and create promotional materials and content following brand guidelines for organizational objectives, events, and community updates utilizing words, photos, graphics, and video.
- Digital editing of video footage and still images, while applying graphic treatment where needed.
- Executing the day to day process of scheduling, posting, and engaging on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and website updates.
- Assistance in annual reports and reporting on social media engagement and materials.
- Collaborate on and execute the social media strategy towards the ultimate goal of growing our social following, engagement and event attendance.
- Implement existing content calendar goals, updating, and maintaining social media calendar with daily posts.
- Work with the Sponsorship department to execute partnership agreements.
- Utilizing graphic design skills to support organizational objectives on both small scale and large scale projects.
- Other creative and administrative duties as assigned by the Marketing Director.
*What are we looking for:*
- Flexible, attentive to detail and works well in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of branding, understands the need for consistency and gatekeeping brand
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Ability to create production-ready files (print, digital screens, billboards, etc.).
- Experience in creation and posting content for all social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
- Experience creating and deploying newsletters on Mailchimp and website edits via Wordpress
- Min. 2 years of experience in a professional environment
- Skill using DSLR camera, video & audio recording, and lighting equipment an asset
