Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Health services/allied health/health sciences, general. Work setting: Home care and visiting care agency. Various locations. Work in employer's/client's home. Tasks: Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort. Perform other duties related to personal care. Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse. Serve meal trays and feed patients. Weigh, lift, turn and position patients. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher. Administer first aid in emergency situations. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Administer bedside and personal care. Coordinate patient care. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate. Continuing Care Assistant Certification. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Immunization records. Vulnerable sector check. Tuberculosis test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Walking. Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs).
