Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Livestock combination farming. Other miscellaneous animal farming. Dusty. Noisy. Odours. Wet/damp. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Monitoring animal health. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm duties. Establish work schedules and procedures. Maintain equipment and supplies. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor. Haying equipment. Farm truck. Area of specialization: Cattle breeding. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
