*About OSCP*
Headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, One Silicon Chip Photonics (OSCP) focus is on the development of Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs). Combining Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems (MEMS) and Silicon Photonics, OSCP is building the next generation of accelerometers and gyroscopes for autonomous vehicle market. The company is now developing a fully integrated optical solution with no moving part that will be characterized by a much higher accuracy than MOEMS devices which will feature a smaller size, more power efficient, cheaper and more reliable compared to fiber-optic based solutions. The team is formed by a young and creative team, specialized in the fields of optical devices design & simulation, micro-fabrication, and characterization.
OSCPS is looking for a project manager with experience in semiconductor industry preferably in sensing technologies. The candidate will participate in the development of integrated photonics-based motion sensors adapted for autonomous vehicles such as self-driving cars and autonomous drones.
*Job Opening*
As part of a multidisciplinary team organization, the successful candidate will report to the Director of Engineering, working closely with our the technical team, R&D engineers, our academic and industrial partners, and with our customers to track the PIC-based inertial sensors product development.
*Responsibilities*
· Manage technically and logistically complex programs. Develop detailed schedules to support responsibility to deliver product on time, to specification and at planned cost.
· Coordinate activities of product development, engineering, materials procurement, and operations organizations to position for success on the project.
· Manage and mitigate project risks.
· Assure communication with internal engineers as well as customers during project evolution.
· Leverage relevant technical knowledge to ensure that technical investigations and developments remain well-aligned to the overall project goals.
· Interface with customers and service providers for assigned projects.
· Assume project management and coordination with all functional team members in a matrix organization approach.
*Qualifications*
· The ideal candidate has a *bachelor?s or master?s degree in Physics, electrical engineering or related subjects* with experience in Electronics and/or MEMS fabrication and/or integrated optical devices.
· At least 2+ years *technical project management experience* in semiconductors, or electronics industries.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Skill in managing a diverse range of personnel assigned to program, frequently without a direct reporting relationship.
· Ability to effectively multi-task and operate independently, solving problems hands-on when appropriate.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
The candidate must be proficient in English, both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of French is an asset.
