<p>THE RENFREW COUNTY DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD <p>requires the following<p>HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT <p> LOCATION: <p> Board Administration Office, Pembroke HOURS PER WEEK: <p> 35 hours per week SUMMARY: <p> As a member of the Boards Human Resources team, in which cross-training, sharing and working collaboratively in the performance of the respective functions are valued expectations of the department, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the work of the department, including Human Resources Coordinators, Officers, Managers and Superintendent. RATE OF PAY: <p> Commensurate with education and experience within the current HR Assistant Band ($63,281 - $69,596). TERM: <p> Permanent <p> Skills, Qualifications and Experience:<p> Minimum 2 year post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Office Administration or other related discipline<p> Minimum 2 years of related experience in human resources, administrative or other relevant support position(s)<p> Proven ability to identify sensitive situations and recognize the impact of potential solutions<p> Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to suit situation and audience<p> Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of the organization<p> Ability to use discretion, tact and diplomacy in dealing with confidential issues<p> Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills with particular attention to detail<p> Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS) Duties and Responsibilities:<p> Assist with the implementation, development and maintenance of a variety of human resources functions<p> Assist with the research, development and implementation of special projects (e.g. recruitment, selection, training, development, labour relations, wellness, attendance management)<p> Assist with all aspects of the recruitment cycle (job postings, applicant tracking, screening, interviews, reference checks, hire packages)<p> Record and maintain data in HRIS and compile and analyze reports as required<p> Prepare general correspondence and provide excellent client service to all stakeholders<p> Ensure department operational effectiveness (e.g. mail, filing, operating phone system, accounting functions)<p> Maintain human resources department internal and external webpage, team drives<p> Schedule meetings, draft and distribute agendas, record minutes and follow up on action items For consideration, applicants are asked to submit a cover letter and detailed resume outlining their qualifications, skills, and experience related to this job opportunity.
