Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.</strong> <br> <br> The Employee Recognition Manager is responsible for leading and delivering recognition programs, policies, processes and procedures for all Branches across the system ensuring a high level of consistency across branches. This will promote a culture recognizing strong operational and customer service performance, as what gets recognized gets repeated. This position provides Branch heads with a dedicated point of contact and resource to address their recognition needs. <br> <br> <strong>Responsibilities:</strong> <ul> <li> Manage relationship with Operational branches head and oversee activities related to various recognition events. </li> <li> Manage relationship with CRE for all food events related. </li> <li> Manage relationship with outside vendors for various recognition initiative (hotels, transportation...) </li> <li> Ensure the annual budget for Recognition is adhered to... </li> <li> Monitor the invoicing of the various Recognition programs. </li> <li> Seek synergies between Ops Branches. </li> <li> Develop and implement Recognition strategies with Branches. </li> <li> Research new Recognition trends </li> <li> Organize regular meetings with AC team and recognition vendor(s) </li> <li> Acts as a role model for Recognition. </li> <li> Anticipates, identifies and resolves problems with a results-oriented approach. </li> <li> Plans, organizes, manages and enhances programs such as Excellence Awards </li> <li> Oversees the Air Canada Brand Ambassador program and work closely with Marketing. </li> <li> Provides leadership to ensure the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the recognition team. </li> <li> Guides the staff, counsels and motivates the team through example </li> <li> Recognizes and acknowledges employees who consistently deliver excellent work. </li> <li> Establishes and maintains a professional relationship with Union representatives. </li> <li> Manage and maintain seamless communication channels with different stakeholders (comms, Ops branches, CRE) </li> <li> Leads and participates in various HR initiative (IE Job Shadow, Road Show) </li> <li> Authority levels (ability or obligation to carry out responsibilities) </li> <li> Responsible for making day-to-day decisions on logistical situations involving recognition </li> <li> Provides support and direction in the delivery of recognition programs <ul> <li> Proposes new ideas to improve the planning and implementation process. </li> <li> Responsible for negotiating with outside vendors. </li> <li> Always Acts as an Air Canada ambassador, specifically for employee events </li> <li> Ensures effective and timely communication within the team. </li> <li> Liaises with various departments across the network. </li> </ul> </li> </ul><b>Qualifications</b> <ul> <li> University Degree in Education or Business Administration or the equivalent an asset </li> <li> Experience with employee management and unionized. </li> <li> Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills with an aptitude for precision. </li> <li> Excellent interpersonal skills. </li> <li> Ability to work well under pressure. </li> <li> Sound decision making skills. </li> <li> Ability to establish work priorities and performance and meet tight deadlines. </li> <li> Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint etc.). </li> <li> Strong flexibility and availability to work long and irregular hours. </li> <li> Proven leadership and interpersonal relationship skills. </li> <li> Ability to work independently, set objectives, develop work plans, develop processes, and set deadlines. </li> <li> Strong oral and written communication skills to prepare detailed and precise reports, letters, communications, emails, and pro
