*Summary*
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible in ensuring seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. The Shipper/Receiver understands the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of incoming and outgoing items and must keep constant communication between all departments. The Shipper/Receiver must be prepared to work as a team member with minimal supervision and be highly organized.
*Job Duties (including but not limited to):*
* Responsible for all equipment coming in and going out of shop.
* Coordinate with transport drivers ? Sign BOL?s and confirm unit information.
* Maintain filing of shipping documents.
* Open jobs/work order for shop repairs in Salesforce.
* Schedule daily transportation needs with different carriers/couriers.
* Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required.
* Prepare, coordinate and process ingoing and outgoing freight.
* Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries.
* Assist drivers where required in offloading equipment.
* Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
* Sort and distribute incoming shipments. Direct office deliveries to the main office.
* Maintain and organize warehouse and storage areas within buildings.
* Ensure that shipments contain proper documentation and if multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete.
* Inspect units coming back off rent and document with pictures, report all damages.
* Assist in performing incoming condition inspections of purchased equipment. Upload photos into assets, ensure all related fields are filled in with accurate specs within Salesforce.
* Clean units and prep for rent ? Charge units where required, have propane tanks filled when needed.
* Perform minor repairs and touch up paint.
* Assist other technicians with major repairs when required.
* Maintain shop cleanliness.
* Some building maintenance indoors/outdoors.
* Complete end of day tasks before leaving work.
* Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations.
* Other related duties as assigned.
*Qualifications*
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* 2+ years experience in shipping/receiving or other relevant experience may be considered.
* Salesforce experience an asset
* Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment.
* Ability to follow instructions.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
* Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
* Attention to detail in all areas of work.
* Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
* Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
