Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Tasks: Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures and record results, and monitor, check and calibrate auditory equipment. Assess patients' physical abilities. Assist health care professionals. Assist physicians in the assessment of patients. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help physical therapists. Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Set up and dismantle equipment. Clean and maintain equipment. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Maintain supplies. Confer with other health professionals. Maintain inventory of equipment. Schedule and confirm appointments. Area of specialization: Physiotherapy. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail.
