*About the Position*
We are seeking an energetic accountant with a CPA designation (qualified within last 2-3 years) or a senior CPA student that has recently written the CFE to join our team. Public accounting experience is preferred.
Your practical experience should include in-depth knowledge of audit, review and compilation engagements and at least a general knowledge of corporate and personal income tax.
*Duties*
* Preparing financial statements and tax returns for clients in a variety of businesses and not-for-profit entities.
* Leading a team in conducting external and internal audits.
* Preparing review and compilation engagements.
* Preparing tax returns (T1, T2, T3, T5, HST).
* Performing basic bookkeeping if required to complete working paper files.
* Coaching and mentoring junior staff members.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with client management.
* Keeping partner informed on an ongoing basis of progress and significant issues. Identifying new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
* Participating in new business development initiatives.
* Effectively managing multiple projects to ensure they are progressing against deadlines and budget.
* Using previous experience and technical knowledge to the benefit of our clients.
* Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
* Experience with Caseware, Jazz-It, Taxcycle, MS Office products and Sage 50 would be an asset
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently, with little supervision and within a team environment.
* Proven track record in strong project management and organizational skills.
* Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service.
*Skills & Qualifications*

Remuneration is commensurate with experience. Candidates who want a flexible schedule will also be considered.
