You will also run accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. A successful Junior Accountant should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers.HOW TO MAKE A DIFFERENCEProvide accounting and clerical support to the accounting departmentType accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and recordsPrepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statementsReconcile accounts in a timely mannerDaily enter key data of financial transactions in databaseProvide assistance and support to company personnelResearch, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepanciesInform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areasFunction in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable lawsConstantly update job knowledgeCultural fit is more important to us than previous experience - if you think you have the right attitude to thrive in this role, please apply!Previous accounting experienced requiredPost secondary education in accounting considered an assetExcellent written and verbal communication skillsComfortable using computer systemsThe ability to multi-taskPunctual and committed to work scheduleCompetitive salaryGenerous Vacation TimeCompany paid health plan5% RRSP matching planGreat work environmentTightknit teamFlexible/work-life balance
