*Posting Number: 24-77* *Date: August 13, 2024* *Vacancy & Classification: Health Information Management Professional (Accredited)* *Permanent, Full Time* *Salary:* *$27.72 - $31.90 / hourly * *Hours:* Tours as per Schedule *Qualifications:* · Minimum 2 (two) year diploma in accredited Health Information Management program mandatory and current Professional membership with CHIMA (Canadian Health Information Management Association) required. · Previous experience analyzing health information, coding and abstracting with ICD-10-CA and CCI and knowledge of national coding standards and practices essential. · Knowledge of hospital ADT systems, abstracting programs, and report generators required ? Experience with Epic, Winrecs and Crystal given preference. · Retrieval and release of information in accordance with PHIPA and current legislation governing health information, hospital and departmental policies and procedures. · Strong organizational and time management skills. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. · Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. · Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and ability to demonstrate RVH values. · Ability to perform duties within the physical demands of the work area. *Start Date:* To be determined.
