Job details
The Human Resources Generalist works with the Director of Human Resources, department Managers, and employees to ensure that activities related to hiring, on-boarding, work-related injuries, non-work-related absences, scheduling preferences, disciplines, and terminations are properly dealt with in a timely manner.
*PRINCIPLE DUTIES*
* Provide recruiting assistance, candidate screening, and assessment.
* Completes administration of short-term disability and WorkSafeBC claims.
* Assist in creating employee training programs
* Oversees locker inventory and audits
* Assist the HR Director in planning, coordinating, and executing all Employee Appreciation related events
* Administers the Employer Compass Pass program
* Assists Director of Human Resources with updating content for hotel-wide communications
* Assist in handling termination-related matters
* Complete employment confirmation letters, Friends and Family room inquiries, and service awards
* Performs other duties as required.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
*Education and Experience*
* At least 2 years? progressive Human Resources experience
* Previous HR Generalist experience
* Strongly Prefer previous hotel experience.
* Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related professional designation
*Skills and Knowledge*
* Strong English written and verbal communication skills
* Exceptional Interpersonal skills
* Detail Oriented
* Team player
* Be well-versed in laws and regulations regarding hiring and firing
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
