Novem is currently looking to add a Full-Time *Forklift* *Operator* to our talent base by identifying enthusiastic, career-minded, innovative and most importantly team players who are willing to go the mile to get the job done. The Forklift Operator is responsible for stacking and moving bins, loading or unloading packed fruit from the racks, loading bins onto or off equipment, and loading or unloading trailers and reefers (bins, supplies). Effectively follow the bin stacking requirements to ensure safety within the operation. All duties must be performed in a safe manner to ensure compliance with internal grading standards, government regulations, industry standards, customer requirements and to also ensure both food and worker safety.

*The successful applicant will have the following key accountabilities:*
· Adhere to all WSBC regulations and Cooperative safety procedures, including but not limited to:
o First Aid Procedures, WHMIS/GHS Regulations, Personal Protective Equipment, Lockout Procedures.
· Adhere to all pertinent Food Safe procedures as required and detailed under the Food Safety program and your training.
· Other duties as assigned by Management within the context of:
· To load, unload, stack and move bins and pallets of finished product, packed fruit and supplies.
· To load and unload trucks and graders and store accordingly
· At times, nest bins and perform light bin repair duties.
· Safe and efficient operation of the lift truck at all times.
· Understanding the requirements of the job and maintaining records pertaining to the job.
· Anything received needs to be properly communicated to the appropriate personnel.
· May be required to work overtime as needed to cover production, shipping and receiving.
· Report any malfunctions of the equipment.
· Working closely with all team members ensuring the facility and forklift fleet are well maintained.
*The successful applicant will be qualified by possessing the following key attributes:*
* To be certified to operate a forklift and to go through the onboarding process*. Must provide a current copy of forklift certification/ticket prior to starting.*
* Required to go through the propane filling certification.
* Successfully completed the lift truck training program.
* *Must be proficient in the use of a forklift.*
* To go through re-certification every 3 years when the certification is set to expire.
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with fellow employees and management.
* Be able to work with or without direct supervision, individually or part of a team.
* Organized and able to maintain and keep clear, accurate, and detailed records with legible handwriting.
* Must be proficient in using computers.
* Proven diligence in following all WSBC and Cooperative work safe policies and procedures.
* Be physically capable to perform all duties as required, including heavy labor and sustained strenuous physical activity.
* Be comfortable working with and around machinery in a team environment.
* Must be able to work all shifts, including AM / PM and weekends, 10-hour or 12-hour shifts, as required.
* May be required to work overtime depending on business needs.
* *Have a valid driver?s license in good standing and provide an annual driver?s abstract.*
