They provide quality nursing care to residents by assisting in their daily living activities, providing personal care and promoting independent living. LPNs provide direct nursing care to stable and unstable clients/patients/residents under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN I works within his/her individual scope of practice and is responsible for health assessment, medication administration, nursing care planning, disease management, wound care, end of life care and may provide mentoring and direction to students and other staff. In long-term care, the LPN role is directed towards meeting the resident's physical, social and spiritual needs through partnerships with the resident, the resident's family and other members of the interprofessional team. Job DemandsBy applying for this job, you acknowledge an understanding that regular requirements and demands of this job include (but are not limited to):Regularly requires physical exertion and handling, moving, pushing or pulling objects between 10 - 15 lbs and occasionally required to support, lift or move patients/objects up to 30 lbs. Regularly required to work in awkward cramped positions (bending/kneeling/stretching) and constantly standing and moving about. Regularly pushes and pulls objects using light to medium forces and stands and walks.
