We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various equipment and systems within our facilities.
We specialize in the development and production of quality savory pastries as well as innovative food products for retailers and food service companies across North America. We concentrate heavily on Food Safety & Quality under GFSI Certification, HACCP Principles & CFIA Inspection. We are rapidly growing and in need of a dynamic Maintenance Technician. This exciting role requires a hands-on individual who is looking for a challenge and an opportunity to learn, grow and make their mark. In collaboration with the Maintenance Supervisor, Production team, QA Manager & Senior Management the Maintenance Technician is responsible for general maintenance of the equipment & facility. This is role with potential for great growth.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
* Daily equipment take down or set up to make sure functioning properly, and if not make necessary repairs or adjustments
* Ensure optimal functioning of equipment, including performing preventative maintenance and repairs
* Work in partnership with quality control to ensure quality, safety procedures and policies to include HACCP, SSOP?s, GMP?s, CCP?s
* Diagnose & repair issues on machines
* Order and source parts
* Be able to move from one situation to another depending on importance
* Assess current process and advise on any improvements that could be made
* Continually monitor equipment and facility to always be maintained in an excellent manner.
Requirements:
* Day Shift 9:00am-5:30 pm and Overtime as needed
* *PREFERENCE will be given to candidates with experience in food processing or food manufacturing*
* Operational knowledge and comprehension of equipment repair/maintenance
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize, efficiently using effective time management and organizational skills
* Knowledge of food safety standards within a federally inspected facility, understanding HACCP, SSOP?s, GMP?s, CCP?s
* Ability to communicate in English, verbally and written.

* Positive attitude and willing to learn and grow
* TIG weld Stainless steel is an asset
Monday to Friday- 9:00am-5:30 pm
Good English required. Must be able to communicate without translator app
