Ready to Make an impact?This is a 16-month Maternity leave contract.Here's where you'll be focusing:Responsible for the successful and effective oversight of community investment activities and strategic partnerships, within the Corporate Citizenship portfolioContribute to the overall strategic planning process for Corporate Citizenship Build, maintain and enhance strong relations with groups in the communities we serve such as non-profit organizations, children's hospital foundations, schools and regional food banksEstablish and enhance strong regional relations as a key resource and our team lead for franchise, community and corporate retail networks Administer, approve or decline regional donation requests as neededIdentify opportunities in new and existing markets when applicableAnalyze, evaluate and measure the effectiveness of Corporate Citizenship programsLead and/or assist during internal presentations and meetings on behalf of the department Represent and attend community functions on behalf of the CompanyKey Capabilities Ability to organize with an aptitude towards accuracy and detailCapacity to prioritize and work effectively within stated timeframes and deadlinesStrong budget and project coordination skillsAbility to be flexible and adapt when faced with new situationsAbility to communicate effectively, both oral and writtenCapability to build relationships as a subject matter expert with internal & external stakeholders Proficient use of the Microsoft Office SuiteWhat you have to offer:Undergraduate Degree in related discipline (Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, etc.)Minimum 5 years of relevant work experienceExperience managing numerous projects simultaneously Passion for making a positive social and environmental impactSolid understanding of the charitable sectorAt Sobeys we require our teammates to have the ability to adhere to a hybrid work model that requires your presence at one of our office locations at least three days per week.
