*ROLE:* Engineering Manager
*REPORTS TO: *VP, Operations
*LOCATION*: Burnaby, BC
We are looking for an *Engineering Manager* to join our Operations team! Our Engineering Manager will oversee and provide directional support on the day-to-day and long-term engineering project initiatives.
*OPPORTUNITIES*
You will get a chance to lead and execute multiple projects and improvement initiatives for the department across multiple sites! You will own all capital projects that supports the Organization?s strategic focus across a multi-product portfolio based on dairy and non-dairy processes. You will work behind the scenes yet interact with multiple teams and partners daily to ensure deliverables are met. Overall, this role offers the opportunity to showcase your diversified skill set that will have a direct impact on the growth of the organization.

*KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS*
* You are proficient in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks (or similar)

* You have excellent project management and analytical skills
* You have great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
*EXPERIENCE*
* You have a Degree in Mechanical (or similar) engineering
* You have a proven track record of managing large capital projects with tight budget controls
* 10+ years of Food and/or Beverage manufacturing experience
* PMP or other project management certification
* Active member of a recognized engineering association
* Financial/accounting experience
*THINGS YOU WILL DO?*
* Lead, plan and execute Capital projects work to meet changing needs and requirements
* Forecast, develop, and administer project budgets
* Interact and build communication with all other departments to ensure a cooperative effort
* Identify and champion continuous improvement projects
* Prioritize project opportunities and ensure proper resource allocation
* Support all innovation initiatives from the dairy and non-dairy development teams that may require strategic capital investments
* Actively participate in strategic planning, budgeting, contract negotiations with vendors, and more
* Provide leadership on multiple projects
* Oversee the work schedules of assigned personnel and evaluate the effectiveness of work processes
*OTHER? *
* May on occasion work at various times including evenings and weekends, as the job requires
* Travel to all manufacturing facilities across Canada (20-30%)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $123,000.00-$140,000.00 per year

Education:
* Bachelor's Degree (required)
Experience:
* foods and or beverage manufacturing: 10 years (required)
