*About the Role:*
*Location: 75 Addiscott Court, Markham, ON*
We are looking for an experienced *Executive Chef* in our ready-to-eat and heat food brand: Classic Touch Foods (classictouchfoods.ca), a high quality, fully prepared meal service for people on-the-go. You will be a key team member of the Production Department, getting our delicious food products from our kitchen onto the plates of our customers.
*What You Will Be Doing:*
After you start your day off with a fresh cup of coffee, it will be your responsibility to:
* Coordinate with Production Manager, the efficient & effective preparation and movement of food production with the Kitchen
* Take receipt of all materials/product from the Receiver ensuring that food items are of good/acceptable quality and proper quantity
* Controls and directs the food preparation process and any other relative activities
* Oversees and organizes Kitchen stock and ingredients
* Constructs menus with new and/or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety & quality of the servings
* Develops new recipes in the creation of innovative cuisine
* Coordinating with the Purchaser as and when required in the procurement of food products
* Trains the Kitchen staff in appropriate and controlled production practices as per CFIA & SQF requirements and the Company's procedures. As well, trains the Kitchen staff in GMP hygiene practices. Able to divide responsibilities and monitor progress
* Ensures that all equipment is in top working condition and will not negatively affect nor contaminate the food products in any manner. Arranges for repairs/replacement as and when required
* Completes all documentation as required by CFIA & SQF requirements within the Kitchen process. Maintains any records (complete & current) as required
* Presents a positive and professional image of the Company when interacting with senior management, other employees, customers, suppliers, visitors and other external stakeholders/interested parties
* Responsible to report to Senior Management of any situation or condition that may jeopardize the safety, wellbeing or integrity of the Company, its personnel or customers

*To be a great leader in this role, you have?*
* 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
* Previous cooking experience in Food Industry preparation and supervision of a food preparation and line cooking team.
* Experience working in a HACCP, SQF, and CFIA environment.
* Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
* Strong communication skills, detail oriented with a passion for high quality.
* A proven team player, who believes all team members contribute to the success of an event.
