Two references must be submitted if selected for an interview. *</strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>WORKING HOURS:</strong></p><ul><li>Mondays to Fridays from 7:30AM to 4:00PM</li><li>Willingness and flexibility to be available for after-hours coverage and on-call duties as required.</li></ul><p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></p><p>This position will support our Field Operations team within the Ottawa region. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the commercial inspection process. With exposure and requirement to perform residential and/or commercial installations, maintenance of gas lines, equipment, utility meters, and regulators.</p><p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are NOT limited to the following:</p><ul><li>Installing and/or exchanging gas utility equipment - pipes, meters, regulators, and connections to supply lines.</li><li>Maintaining and repairing gas lines on the Utility meters and minor repairs on the customer equipment or piping.</li><li>Conduct testing and/or replacements of safety controls on defective equipment and/or components.</li><li>Perform testing and adjustment of control mechanisms and inspecting pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices.</li><li>To ensure the safe operation of all new installations and appropriately instruct customers on proper care, safety features, and maintenance of gas units/systems.</li><li>Participating in and accommodating the requirements of the commercial inspection process regarding the installation of commercial appliances and the supporting equipment as part of those installations.</li><li>Responsible and willing to learn and grow as part of a progressive customer service-oriented team.</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>2 - 5 years of HVAC experience preferred.</li><li><strong>Must have obtained a Gas License I (G1) and must be in good standing.</strong></li></ul><p><strong>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION</strong></p><ul><li>Must have a valid driver's license in good standing and consent to additional security check(s).</li><li>Ability to travel throughout all areas within the Eastern region as required with a company provided vehicle.</li><li>Bilingual in both French and English is an asset; written and verbal.</li><li>Deliver excellent customer service, work independently with minimal supervision, and ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.</li></ul><p><strong>INCLUSION AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYMENT</strong></p><p>At Lakeside Gas Services, our belief is that diversity and inclusion are fundamental and integral part of its business innovation and growth.</p><p>We are committed to building diverse and inclusive teams within an equitable workplace for our staff to collaborate and bring their true selves to work.
