Realty Care Law LLP is a law firm located in North York, providing services in a wide range of practice areas including: residential and commercial real estate, corporate/business, immigration, personal injury and wills & estates. We are searching for a real estate law clerk/legal assistant to join our growing firm.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Managing real estate purchases, sales, and mortgage files from start to finish
* Conducting and reviewing title and off-title searches, identifying issues and preparing requisition letters
* Preparing and registering Teraview documents (e.g., transfers, charges, notices, applications, discharges, etc.)
* Drafting and filing CRA HST/GST rebate applications
* Preparing reporting letters, correspondence, accounts, and other administrative duties as required
* Drafting and filing Articles of Incorporation (provincial or federal), other corporate form filings, organization and maintenance of corporate minutebooks
* File management and organization
* Managing telephone, email, mail, fax, and courier correspondence to other law offices, clients and other parties
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
* Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant working experience in a real estate law office
* Willingness to expand skill-set into new practice areas
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Professionalism in the workplace
* Strong organizational, time-management and prioritization skills, with keen attention to detail
* Diligence, commitment, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume law firm
* Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, RealtiWeb, Assyst, Teraview, and PCLaw
* Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision
* Willingness to work flexible working hours
* Valid driver's licence and everyday use of an automobile is a strong asset
