*Health & Safety Advisor* *General Accountabilities: * Working closely with Mining operations, maintenance and engineering teams to ensure the Company's safety standards and loss management programs are administered to support an incident, accident and injury free workplace. * Provides Health and Safety program guidance and recommendations to employees and leaders on respective sites. * Promotes KMC safety culture, adhering to all provincial and federal laws, KMC policy, internal controls, and practices, all while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. * Interprets and advises all employees on compliance to OHS regulations, Customer site and company standards. * Provides a high level of visibility in the field by performing regular site inspections, solicit feedback from front line employees * Assists with the development and implementation of EH&S programs and procedures ensuring effectiveness * Provides advice on the safety procedures and practices contained in the company safety management system. * Observes front line work execution for compliance with safe work procedures and recommends corrective actions as required. * Monitor and champion leading safety activities; FLRA's, Safe Work Observation, Safety Observation System, inspections, and safety meetings. * Conduct safety audits in accordance with Company requirements. * Assist management to complete quality execution incident investigation, development of the corrective actions and reporting information * Assist with the management and review of subcontractor safety programs and follow up on incidents with contractors. * Take appropriate action for all safety related concerns raised by the Company. * Support, prepare, and present weekly, monthly, and annual reports as required. * Supports safety related training and onboarding of existing and new employees; and * Other duties as assigned from time to time. *Job Qualifications:* * Formal Education * Highschool Diploma or Equivalent * NCSO Certificate * Certificate or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety will be considered an asset * CRSP or CRST designation would be considered an asset *Work Experience* * Minimum 10 years of industrial, trade or mining experience in operations and or maintenance. * 5 years minimum experience in a safety advisor role *Technical Skills* * Proficient in Microsoft Suite. * Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Strong organizing, analytical and problem-solving skills. * Collaborative and performance orientated. * Knowledge of safety software systems and programs. * Tactful and diplomatic. * Conflict resolution skills. *Rotation & Accommodation:* 7x7 BIBO or FIFO/Camp accommodations \*Note: other combinations of education and experience will be considered. 10 plus years in a mining supervisory role combined with some safety advisor experience, must be willing to take NCSO designation within the 1st year Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person- LocationFort McMurray, AB
