*Who You Are:* You are a technically exceptional Millwright who is energized by new challenges. You can marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done and can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal. Your mission at Smith Cameron is to complete production activities for repairs, field service, and unitizations and packaged engineered solutions including disassembly, cleaning, fabrication, painting and assembly and field service. To be successful in this role you can effectively cope with change and can shift gears comfortably. You relate well to all kinds of people, up, down, and sideways, inside and outside the organization. You can build constructive and effective relationships. You can diffuse even high-tension situations comfortably through diplomacy and tact. *About the **Role:* * Complete outside field service. * Complete start-ups and commissioning. * Complete pump quality control inspections. * Provide technical support to customers * Prepare inspection reports * Conduct disassembly, cleaning, fabrication, painting and assemblies. * Provide input on designs. * Complete equipment maintenance. * Complete installations. * Participate in the continuous improvement activities. * Perform daily housekeeping duties in your work areas. * Work in a safe productive and quality manner at all times. * Bring forward any safety concerns proactively. * Report any injury or near miss immediately to your leader or the operations manager. * Help prepare field service and or repair quotes when asked to do so. * Rigging and installation of equipment shop * All other duties as assigned. *Required Experience: * * Millwright Certification * Post-secondary diploma or equivalent * 2 Years of pump/rotating equipment experience * Has experience with measuring to 0.0001? of an inch * Technical expertise demonstrated thorough understanding of fluid and air dynamics and rotating equipment principles * Strong layout skills * Experience and understanding of WHMIS, WCB, first aid, forklift, material handling and housekeeping *Competencies:* *Customer Focus * Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect. *Decision Quality* Makes good decisions (without considering how much time it takes) based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; most of his/her solutions and suggestions turn out to be correct and accurate when judged over time; sought out by others for advice and solutions. *Functional/Technical Skills * Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment. *Informing * Provides the information people need to know to do their jobs and to feel good about being a member of the team, unit, and/or the organization; provides individuals information so that they can make accurate decisions; is timely with information. *Planning * Accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; sets objectives and goals; breaks down work into the process steps; develops schedules and task/people assignments; anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks; measures performance against goals; evaluates results. *Problem Solving * Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; probes all fruitful sources for answers; can see hidden problems; is excellent at honest analysis; looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers. *Perseverance *Pursues everything with energy, drive, and a need to finish; seldom gives up before finishing, especially in the face of resistance or setbacks.
