CTOMS? is a unique company providing tactical, medical, rescue training, and equipment sales, primarily to the defense and security industry, but rapidly expanding into more mainstream, and international markets. Working at our location in South Edmonton, in a fast-paced environment, we are seeking an ambitious and energetic Marketing Assistant. As our Marketing Assistant, you will review and make updates to our websites, provide customer support for our e-learning platform CTOMS Academy, and assist in marketing and product development projects. This will include using our modern inventory control software, content management systems (Shopify), social media platforms, and other digital marketing and creative tools determined to be useful. You will assist in the planning, co-ordination, and execution of marketing and creative projects. To be selected for the role you must have great organizational and communications skills, the ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast past environment, and a high degree of initiative and motivation. Being a team player with excellent general computer skills are a must. Additionally, proficiency in French or Japanese will be considered an asset. Please do not apply if you are not local or must work remotely. *Job Type:* Part-time with the possibility of becoming full-time. *Responsibilities and Duties* * Review and update websites to ensure accuracy and consistency. * Develop custom website features within Shopify. * Compose marketing emails and schedule online campaigns, including sales and promotions. * Organize marketing assets and distribute marketing products to resellers and clients. * Conduct SEO research and optimization of website content. * Contribute to the creation of promotional and marketing media, and other assets. * Assist in the development of CTOMS? social media presence: including following up with influencers, staying current with relevant trends, creating content, and managing blog comments. * Assist in the coordination of CTOMS? attendance at tradeshows, seminars, and similar events. * Assist in the coordination of product development and launches. * Assist in the review of user account and sales data. * Assist in the management of user accounts. *Experience and Skills:* * Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, web development, design, or a related field. * Computer proficiency is a must, with ?back-end? skills being considered an asset. * Proficiency with content management systems is a must. * Strong English communication and writing skills are a must. * Demonstrated experience in web-development, graphic design, motion graphics/ animation, or video editing will be considered an asset. * Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite will be considered an asset. *Characteristics:* * Demonstrates strong work ethics (attendance, punctuality, reliability, honesty, etc.). * Highly organized team player. * Strong initiative and drive to take on tasks and challenges. * Excellent ability to learn, adapt, and acquire new skills. * Excellent multi-tasking and ability to work under pressure. * Follows instructions thoroughly, uses good judgment, and pays close attention to details.
