Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Advise clients on beauty care treatments. Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences. Shampoo customers' hair. Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages. Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair. Apply hair extensions. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair. Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences. Provide staff training. Hair styling techniques: Blow drying. Hair braiding. Iron waving/curling. Permanents. Extensions. Twisting. Locking. Relaxing. Spiking. Pin curls. Roller setting. Hair colouring techniques: Bleach. Dyes/tints. Frosting. Streaking/highlights. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills.
