Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems. Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems. Repair or replace mechanical units or components. Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs . Test and adjust units to specifications. Complete reports to record problems and work performed. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Manual dexterity. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability. Flexibility. Judgement. Reliability. Team player. Punctuality.
