*Overview*
Signature Support Services Society is a leader and provider of choice in enhancing the lives of people with developmental disabilities. Signature Support Services Society is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full cycle bookkeeping, Adagio, invoicing, AR/AP, bank recs, payroll, GST remittance, and general office administration.
*Responsibilities*
- Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and posting of payroll entries to the general ledger and oversight of an accounting clerk position
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and suggesting improvements to the internal control environment
- Utilize accounting software such as Adagio to maintain financial records
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to support decision-making processes
- Completion of all government or regulatory reporting (Stats Canada, GST. etc.)
- Perform detailed account analysis and provide recommendations based on findings
*Skills*
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Adagio, Paydirt (payroll), Office 365
- Strong experience of account reconciliation and financial reporting
- Experience with budgeting and financial analysis, confidentiality of information
- Familiarity with payroll processes and accounts payable/receivable functions
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, able to work independently and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Degree, or diploma in Finance, Accounting or related field is preferred.
