High Prairie School Division <p>is inviting applicants for:<p>Transportation Administrative Assistant <p>Learning Support Centre - High Prairie<p>High Prairie School Division's Transportation Department serves 16 schools in 5 communities. 44 drivers transport approximately 2,000 students on a daily basis. Our fleet of buses travel over 1 million kilometres per year inclusive of 1,300 field trips and regular student transport to and from school.<p>Duties include, but not limited to: <p> Routing and Planning Using Division software plan all bus routes to efficiently accommodate transportation for all eligible students with in the division<p> Register students for busing in a timely matter<p> Schedule all Field Trips and coordinate bus rentals<p> Support and assist bus drivers as required<p> Provide orientation training to new drivers<p> Provide driver training for Motive program<p> Complete and submit annual transportation grant<p> Maintain integrity of databases and student transportation records <p> Ensure that transportation receivables are provided to the accounting department on a regular and ongoing basis as needed. <p> Driving School Coordinate driving instructors to provide Class 2S and SBDIP training<p> Maintain Driving School records in accordance with the Alberta Transportation Driving Schools Policy and Procedure<p> Support and assist Driving Instructors as required<p> Complete and submit annual Driving School license application<p> Provide Driving School receivables to the accounting department as required<p> Complete and submit quarterly training grant applications <p> Office Duties Perform general office duties such as answering telephone inquiries, filing, answers to routine letters and data entry.<p> Assist Director of Transportation with maintenance of all transportation records and required documents<p> Assist Director of Transportation with payables as required<p> Assist Director of Transportation to coordinate First Aid and Air Brake courses <p> Completion of timesheets and other duties as required in the Director of Transportations absence<p> Provide monthly driver payment requisitions to accounting in a timely manner Qualifications: High school diploma supplemented by related courses and experience<p> High degree of proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office, and Google Suite<p> Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills<p> Ability to work independently and have problem-solving, multi-tasking and time management skills<p> Strong ability to adapt and manage change with frequent interruptions<p> Ability to deal with sensitive and discretionary matters and maintain strict confidentialityRequirements: Cover Letter and Resume<p> Three professional references <p> All candidates selected for an interview must produce an ORIGINAL , acceptable, recent (less than six months old) Criminal Record Check at time of the interview.
