Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted. Repair cracks and holes. Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls. Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging. Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces. Equipment and machinery experience: Airless spray equipment. Brush painting. Conventional spray painting. Multi-ratio pump spraying. Patterned rollers. Roller painting. Coating/application specialization: Novelty and decorative effects. Fire retardants. Multi-color finishes. Urethanes. Paint spraying. Wall covering specialization: Wallpaper. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours. Personal suitability: Flexibility. Initiative. Reliability. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
