Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. At heights. Confined spaces. Outdoors. Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer. Tasks: Inspect structural and mechanical systems of aircraft and ensure that these systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety. Repair and overhaul aircraft structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems. Install or modify aircraft engines and mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel and pneumatic systems. Maintain detailed repair, inspection and certification records and reports. Dismantle airframes, aircraft engines or other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul and cleaning, and reassemble. Perform and document routine maintenance. Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies. Interpret blueprints/specifications/standards and written technical instructions. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AME «S» Licence - Structures. Aviation special processes: Chrome/cadmium plating. Heat treatment. Structural repair experience - aircraft: Aircraft structures - general. Aircraft sheet metal structures. Aircraft composite structures. Type of industry experience: Aircraft manufacturing. Military aviation. Repair and overhaul facility. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Aircraft maintenance - general. Turbine engines. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Enhanced reliability security clearance. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Responsibilities
Tasks
- Inspect structural and mechanical systems of aircraft and ensure that these systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety
