*Job Summary*
The Centre for Interpersonal Relationships (CFIR) provides a wide variety of services to mental health clinicians in Ottawa, Toronto and St. Catherine?s, Ontario. We are currently seeking a Senior Bookkeeper who has advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, and who works well both independently and in a team environment.
This position requires managing financial records of different entities, working with our accounting firm to produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, accounts receivables/payables, production of a bi-weekly payments to contractors, payroll, and supervision of a bookkeeping assistant.
*Some of the regular duties:*
* Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts for the main company and subsidiaries using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems (Quickbooks Enterprise Desktop, QBO)
* Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements
* Reconcile bank, credit card and other accounts
* Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills
* Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, and other government documents
* Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
*Some of the essential qualifications:*
* Successful candidate will possess formal training at a post-secondary institution and have at minimum 3 years experience working in a business-related context
* Critical thinking, problem solving and attention to details skills (extremely important)
* Proficient communication skills in English (oral and written), and intermediate in French (desirable)
* Collaborativity and adabtability
* Must have real multitasking skills (will be verified)
* Above average knowledge of the provincial and federal financial laws and work standards
* Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Excel a (requirement)
* Intermediate in general computing and applications proficiency (desirable)
* Proficiency in both Mac OS (requirement) and Windows operating systems
* Must be able to use MS Teams and Office 365 in general
* Knowledge of MS PowerBi a plus
