Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Office building. Cleaning service company. Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Hotel, motel, resort. School or educational institution/establishment. Residential. Shopping centre or mall. Restaurant. Tasks: Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers. Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards. Prepare budget and cost estimates. Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment. Maintain financial records. Assist cleaners in performing duties. Co-ordinate work activities with other departments. Establish work schedules. Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs. Supervision: 5-10 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear. Steel-toed safety boots. Uniform. Safety glasses/goggles. Gloves. Safety harness.
