*Job Summary*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their career in accounting and finance while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
*Key Responsibilities:*
*Financial Record Keeping:* Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable, and receivable.
*Data Entry:* Input financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
*Reconciliations:* Support monthly reconciliation of bank statements and accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
*Assistance with Financial Reporting:* Prepare and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
*Expense Tracking:* Monitor and categorize company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
*Payroll Support:* Assist with payroll processing and record-keeping, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees..
*Audit Preparation:* Help prepare documentation for internal and external audits as needed.
*Compliance:* Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
*Administrative Support:* Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required.
*Qualifications:*
*Education:* Bachelor?s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
*Experience:* Previous internship or experience in accounting is a plus.
*Skills:*
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
