Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work setting: Hospital medical laboratories. Tasks: Collect blood, tissue or other samples from patients. Document observations on patients' specimens. Examine the results of the tests. Log patient samples and prepare them for testing. Set up medical laboratory equipment. Clean and maintain medical laboratory and laboratory equipment. Collect tissue specimens for chemical analysis and record findings. Discard specimens according to established safety procedures. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Outlook. MS Word. Area of specialization: Microbiology. Personal suitability: Client focus. Organized. Team player. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
