Established in 1919, Fort Garry Fire Trucks is Canada?s leading manufacturer of quality fire trucks. Fort Garry Fire Trucks is looking to hire a full-time permanent Configuration Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible to assist with Planning and Configuration tasks. Increased responsibility will be available with demonstrated aptitude over time. Higher education and manufacturing experience will broaden the scope of work and the compensation accordingly. *Responsibilities include*: * Performing general administrative tasks to assist the department (filing, etc. ) * Analyzing work order labour history to verify standards for the bill of material routings * Creating bills of material and manufacturing routings based on engineering drawings * Releasing production work orders * Configuring fire apparatus in MRP software based on customer specifications *Applicant Requirements*: * High School diploma or equivalent * Ability to read engineering drawings * Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and MRP software * Fluent spoken and written English and good interpersonal communication skills * Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt, multitask and meet timelines * Reliable transportation; bussing is not available at our location * Legally entitled to work in Canada *Assets*: * Post secondary education in mechanical engineering technology or similar. * Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment. *We offer*: * Competitive compensation * Health and dental benefits * RRSP/DPSP plan * Training * A stable and growing company with over 100 years of experience We thank all applicants however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
