With a team of nearly 2,000 employees (some of whom are brand new to the company, while others have been with us nearly 30 years) we are always looking to expand and grow our business and are currently looking to add a qualified Jr. Credit Analyst to our team at Kaizen Automotive Group. *Job Summary * The Jr. Credit Analyst will report to the Credit Manager and evaluate credit worthiness of applicants. The individual will be detail-oriented and analytical and will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients, analyzing financial data, negotiating with customers, and making recommendations to mitigate risk and maximize profitability. *Duties & Responsibilities:* * Gathers and analyzes credit applicants? financial data to evaluate risk * Assesses creditworthiness of individuals, companies, and institutions * Collaborates with other financial experts to approve or deny credit requests * Perform internal reviews and make recommendations about whether to increase, adjust, extend, or close lines of credit * Prepares and presents credit reports * Monitors and adheres to collateral compliance covenants * Ensures that all granted credit is made in adherence with federal, state, and local financial regulations * Analyzes data to verify information and uncover fraud * Assists in the creation of underwriting standards, credit policies, and process improvements * Communicates credit decisions and policies to fellow employees and credit applicants * Oversees or undertakes account setup and document preparation · Understand various risks related to credit request and creatively negotiate with customers using available tools to mitigate risk *Jr. Credit Analyst Qualifications/Skills:* * Knowledge of commercial credit products, market trends, and/or credit procedures * Attention to detail * Analytical and critical thinking skills * Quantitative skills * Strong time management and multitasking skills * Strong communication skills * Adept at decision making and negotiation * Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to form and maintain client and business relationships * Business acumen * Discretion and a dedication to protecting the financial privacy of clients, business partners, and employer *Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:* * Completion of a relevant certificate, degree, or designation program * Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook * Basic understanding of accounting, statistics, and economics preferred * Previous experience as a credit analyst or loan officer preferred (1-3 years) *Compensation and Benefits* _In addition to competitive pay, we offer our employees:_ · Group Health, after 90 days · Dental · Life and Disability Insurance · Paid vacation · Employee Vehicle Purchase Program · Group Retirement Savings Program, after 1 year · Employee Assistance Program · Fun, friendly, professional work environment · Job training and advancement opportunities If you are in alignment with our values of integrity, transparency, professionalism, and teamwork ? now might be the time for you to accelerate your career as part of one of the 50 Best Managed Companies in Canada. _please note: we are not able to hire (or sponsor) out-of-country applicants that do not have a current permanent resident status or work visa._ Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $47,000.00-$54,000.00 per year Benefits: * Dental care * Disability insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person- LocationCalgary, AB
