If you feel you can bring talent, innovation and enthusiasm to our workforce then please consider the opportunities we have available. *Job Overview* Reporting directly to the Controller, the Junior Accountant will support the finance team through timely and accurate processing of AR/AP entries as well as assisting in other projects, which benefit the company?s overall performance. . *Duties* * Promptly enters A/P; codes to the correct general ledger accounts; confirms correct approval and verifies all required documentation. * Applies payments received to appropriate ledger accounts. * Completes monthly Bank Reconciliations for Canadian and US accounts. * Reconciles credit card statements daily. * Ensures accuracy of financial records while identifying and resolving discrepancies. * Observes and upholds accounts payable and accounts receivable policies, procedures, and internal controls. * Maintains contact with vendors regarding any AP matters * Answers the phone and other reception desk duties * Participates in special projects as required * Upholds and respects various processing deadlines including tight month end and year end deadlines *Qualifications* * College Diploma / University Degree or equivalent work experience within an accounting / finance role. * Strong organizational and communication skills. * The ability to operate accounting software, preferably experience with SAP (S/4 Hana) * Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite capabilities. * Excellent attention to detail. * Must be a team player within a large multifunctional organization. * Bi-lingual (French) an asset, but not required If you are interested in this opportunity and feel you meet the qualifications we require, we would like to hear from you.
