Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Asset languages: Spanish; Castilian. Work site environment: Fruit and vegetable combination farming. Organic farming. Other miscellaneous crop farming. Other vegetables and melon farming (except potato). Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Outdoors. Work setting: Rural area. Remote location. Tasks: Cut agricultural crops. Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Greenhouse cleaning. Harvest seedlings. Mixing fertilizer. Organize tasks to accomplish the work. Oversee the activities of clearing the fields. Weeding. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Maintain financial and production records. Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production records. Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations. Maintain work records and logs. Hire and train staff. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm duties. Apply the technique of hoeing between the row.
