*About the Company*
Atlas Workwear is a very fast-growing Canadian workwear manufacturer with operations in Alberta and Ontario, serving clients nationwide. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to support our finance team as we continue to expand operations across the country and into the US.
*Who You Are*
The successful candidate is someone with strong technical ability in financial reporting and experience with month-end and year-end close cycles. You are someone who can both follow processes and implement new ones to enhance the financial reporting function, making it more efficient and accurate. You are tech-savvy, with the ability to navigate an ERP system, work with others to accomplish objectives, and manage your own projects and deadlines.
*Responsibilities:*
* Oversee the financial reporting and management for multiple entities.
* Prepare and release timely monthly financial statements in alignment with GAAP.
* Support month-end and year-end close procedures.
* Prepare the monthly and year-end trial balance.
* Manage all accounting functions including payment processing, payroll, A/R, A/P, account reconciliation, revenue recognition, GST/PST remittances, and daily bookkeeping tasks.
* Maintain accurate inventory records and reconciliations with the general ledger.
* Update and maintain intercompany accounts and reconcile as necessary.
* Reconcile and maintain relevant documentation and workpapers.
* Identify, investigate, and resolve flagged entries or financial data issues.
* Perform full-cycle accounting, overseeing all general accounting operations.
* Assist in conducting financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
* Support accounting staff, ensuring smooth operation of the accounting department and preparation of deliverables.
* Handle transactions in multiple currencies and support translation adjustments.
* Manage ad hoc requests as assigned.
* Report directly to the CEO.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance.
* CPA designation is required.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience (public practice considered an asset).
* Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with Oracle NetSuite considered an asset).
* High-level proficiency in Excel and strong knowledge of MS Office.
* In-depth understanding of accounting functions and accrual accounting.
* Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.
* Problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies or inefficiencies.
* Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accounting standards applicable to warehouse and manufacturing industries.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
