Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Prepare engineering designs and drawings. Develop and prepare design sketches. Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates. Prepare contracts and tenders. Write technical reports. Write specifications. Estimate costs and materials. Complete documentation packages and drawing sets. Examine drawings for conformity and errors. Type of drafting: Manual drafting. Free-hand drafting. Shop drawings. Detailing drafting. Presentation drawings. Computer and technology knowledge: Mapping and data visualization software. AutoCAD. Autodesk REVIT. Area of specialization: Civil engineering.
