Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Work setting: Staff accommodation provided. Tasks: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Develop specific plans to prioritize. Diagnose livestock health issues. Direct farm feed inventory activities . Handling animals. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly . Treat livestock health issues. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Maintain financial and production records. Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Formulate feeding program. Maintain livestock performance records. Select livestock for sale. Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm duties. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
