*Job Summary*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a solid understanding of financial auditing and account reconciliation processes.
The primary responsibilities will be to deliver high-quality tax services to our clients. You will collaborate closely with Partners and Junior Staff contributing to the success of our firm and our clients.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform financial auditing to maintain accuracy and compliance with regulations.
* Conduct account reconciliation and ensure all financial records are up-to-date.
* Utilize accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, CaseWare and TaxPrep for efficient financial management.
* Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and insights.
* Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of a wide range of Audit, Review and Compilation engagements, both independently and as part of a team.
* Preparation of complex personal, corporate, non-profit organization information and charitable tax returns.
* Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships.
*Qualifications*
* An active Canadian CPA designation.
* 2-4 years post-qualification public accounting experience.
* Knowledge of Canadian GAAP, audit, review procedures, and tax compliance.
* Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate account reconciliation.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
